PGA.com Recognizes The Prairie Club as Top Links Facility

Links golf will forever be the cornerstone of the game, the place where the game was born. 

Tracing golf's history back to its roots in Scotland, the game was learned in this fashion of links-style golf. With no trees and spacious hills and mounds, rolling the golf ball became evident, while course strategy became paramount. It is what we've prided ourselves on with our designs in the Sandhills of Nebraska. "As Pure as Golf Gets" became our mantra, honing in on the roots of the game. The course is designed to fit the land, not the other way around. 

On Tuesday, Feb. 10th, 2015, Premier Golf posted an article via PGA.com laying out some of the great links designs in the United States. As many of the great links-style courses sit overseas in the birthplace of golf, there have been some marvelous discoveries stateside as well.

Our Dunes course was found among some of the greatest designs in the nation. The article was quoted, "...with its dramatic elevation changes, tall grasses and innovative, rugged bunkering, [it] is links-style golf at its finest."

Others on the list were Bandon Dunes, the Ocean Course and Kiawah Island, Streamsong and Whisling Straits.
