Bird Dog Hospitality Joins Forces with Corporate Care

From Bozeman to Oskaloosa, dedicated chaplain services from Corporate Care of the Sioux Empire will offer emotional and spiritual support to Bird Dog Hospitality employees.

Corporate Care has been serving South Dakota, Minnesota, and Nevada employers and employees with chaplain services for more than a decade. Now, they are expanding their reach to serve Bird Dog properties and the corporate office in Sioux Falls.

James Swanson started Corporate Care in late 2013 when he saw an opportunity and a need to provide workplace ministry in the Sioux Empire. Now after more than a decade, the longtime pastor has a team of committed chaplains who share his vision of providing holistic care in the workplace.

“We are both excited and honored to partner with Bird Dog and it’s vision to take care of its team in a way that sets it apart as a healthy and positive workplace,” Swanson says. “We know that this type of partnership adds value to people’s lives, right where they work and spend most of their waking hours.”

Swanson has started providing services at the Bird Dog corporate office and will first bring their efforts to the Harmony Inn and Best Western Plus in New Ulm, Minnesota starting in early July.

The team will soon begin to roam the hallways of the Midwestern hotels not as a guest service representative or housekeeper, but as a source of comfort and guidance. Corporate Care’s expansion into Bird Dog locations is a testament to the growing recognition of the importance of mental health, emotional and spiritual well-being in the workplace.

The faith that my partners and I share, it’s always driven us to make Bird Dog more than just selling hotel rooms and food,” Bird Dog Hospitality President, Kyle Schock says. “Corporate Care shares these deepest values with us, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with them.”

18 hotels and three restaurants stretching from Bozeman, Montana, to Oskaloosa, Iowa present a new and unique challenge for James and Corporate Care. “It’s a challenge worth doing,” says Swanson.

It’s important to note that the chaplain services provided by Corporate Care are meant to offer support and guidance to team members, not to impose any religious beliefs. Participation is entirely voluntary and is designed to cater to the diverse needs of all employees, regardless of personal beliefs.

“Employees will experience personal care from our chaplains that is built upon trust and integrity that is led by the employee based on the needs in their life,” Swanson says. “Whether it’s the everyday situations or times of crisis that life brings upon them.”
